Add A Venue On Foursquare

If you have a retail store, you should create a venue for people to check into sites like Foursquare and GoWalla. It's an easy way to create buzz and increase visibility of your company. Even if you only have a mobile store, or a booth at a local farmer's market, you can still add your location on Foursquare.

You can create a venue by going to foursquare.com, signing into your account, and then searching for the venue you want to create in the search box at the top right of the page. If your venue does not already exist on foursquare, you can create a new venue by scrolling to the bottom of the search results (bottom of page) and clicking "Add a new venue to foursquare."





Once you click the link you can put in the information, including address, of your store. From there, you can add special deals and offers to entice more people to check in and visit your location.

It's also easy to add a new venue on your mobile phone with the Foursquare app. Just go to the check-in tab, scroll to the bottom, and click "Add a new venue to foursquare." If you don't see that option, you may have to hit your menu button and it should provide the option to add a place.
